| For a week after the February 22nd earthquake I was at a bit of a loss for things to do as the central business district, which contains our office, had been closed down and I hadn't heard anything from the boss. My partner's office is in a new building in a suburban commercial area so she was still able to work, and she was giving a training course in Methven for a day. She invited me to tag along and I spent the day wandering the town about taking photos. After she'd finished her work we visited an elderly relative who lived in the town. She let me use her shower: after a week it was about the best shower I'd ever had. | |
